At dusk one evening we saw something move at the end of the driveway. We went down and saw someone had tied an emaciated mastiff to the gate. Trooper was in no shape to travel anywhere and was close to death

Trooper arrived in his foster home
Trooper is unable to walk, and currently only weighing 92 lbs when he should be 150 pounds. He was taken to the vet and it was determined he has a broken hip.
Troopers Surgery!
The surgeon tried a hip replacement surgery but because of the damage it was not successful so instead the surgeon ended up doing an FHO surgery. He is now recovering and will be starting physical therapy soon.

Gaining weight and recovering well
After eating 10 cups.. yes you read that 10 cups of food a day, Trooper has finally put on some weight and is recovered from his surgery! Here he is learning how to be a dog.
